Illmaculate’s had one of the longest runs in battle rap with a consistency that’s made him accepted in every era since debuting over a decade ago. While he’d had some high-profile battles a year before, the then-17-year-old Illmaculate’s star-making moment came at Scribble Jam 2004 when he eliminated the previous year’s finalist and that year’s heavy favorite Swann out of the competition in the first round. A great back-and-forth regardless, Illmaculate’s “insert an actor’s name” punchline remains one of the sharpest in Scribble Jam history.
Every Thursday, BattleRap.com posts a classic battle that you should know about, or at least be reminded of occasionally. See them all here.
