Passwurdz vs. Hollow Da Don

The closing battle of "Battle of the Bay 5," already a landmark battle event, Hollow Da Don and Passwurdz squared off in a classic for the ages. Seeing that both will face Charlie Clips this month (Hollow at NOME 5 and Pass at "MASSacre"), now’s as good of a time as ever to revisit one of the best bouts of the Grind Time era.

While both had sizable reps prior to the battle, this was their joint step into immortality. With plenty of quotables that still get mentioned in battles to this day, Hollow’s “How does he write that stuff” opening bar is considered among battling’s all time best opening lines.

Of the battle, Pass told BattleRap.com:

This battle will always be special. I think it marked a shift in the battle rap scene at the time. It was the best from the West vs. the best of the East. The energy in there live was so dope. I think folks will be able to look back at that battle and recognize it as the best from that time period.
