Leading up to their battle at URL's "Rookies vs. Vets" event, K-Shine and Mr. Wavy faced off in a heated new interview with Smack White.
Like the rest of the card's battles, the K-Shine vs. Wavy match-up pits an established battler against a newcomer, with Mr. Wavy having only seven on-camera battles since appearing on the scene in 2013. K-Shine on the other hand has been battling for about five years and counts battles with the likes of Arsonal, Tsu Surf, Head I.C.E and more on his resume.
"I don't wanna toot my own horn but this shit looking like a bodybag. I'm not playing," Mr. Wavy said during the sit-down with Smack. When asked what K-Shine brings to the table Wavy mostly shrugged off his opponent's worth. "Yelling. He loud," Wavy said.
"I haven't seen him do nothing," K-Shine said of his rookie opponent. "What the fuck, I don't know his weak or strong points ... I'm going back to that old K-Shine. That's a fact. Fuck all the gimmicks, fuck all the bars. Watch this. What's the fuck wrong with these new niggas?"
Both rappers kept their battle faces on throughout the interview and neither would budge on the possibility of giving up a single round.
"He's not getting no round," Mr. Wavy said. "No rounds. No rounds."
"I'm going first," the rookie added. "No coin flip. None of that. I'm setting it off. Mark my words. It's gonna be a 3-0."
K-Shine went on to clown Wavy as the only rookie on the card that doesn't belong.
"Every other rookie that's on this card had strong battles," K-Shine said. "I can watch them. I skip every single one of your rounds, bro."

The event goes down on Saturday, March 28 at the Gramercy Theatre at 127 E 23rd Street in New York. Doors are scheduled to open at 1:00 p.m.
