Offering his opinion on an upcoming rematch battle featuring Loaded Lux and Murda Mook, battle rapper Goodz described feeling like Mook is one of the few battlers who have the skills to beat Lux in a new interview with VladTV.
“I think he’s gonna do good,” Goodz said of Mook. “I think Lux is crazy. I put Lux as a lyricist on a level with Nas and niggas like that. That boy’s crazy. You can’t take it away from him. I think he’s gonna have a little trouble with Mook. With certain people, Lux would have trouble. It’s not a lot. I said Hollow—he might have a little trouble with Hollow...He might because Hollow can do the stuff that the people I’m talking about could do. I think Lux would have a little trouble with him.”
Speaking on another Loaded Lux match-up, Goodz described why he thinks Loaded Lux beat Hollow Da Don in their recent battle.
“I got Lux,” he said. “I got Lux and I’m gonna explain why. I got Lux because I feel like Hollow had more dead spots than Lux...I knew it wasn’t a walk-in-the-park. Hollow had way more dead spots. Lux is more consistent…That’s the thing, a lot of these rappers ain’t consistent. With Lux you’re gonna get consistency all the time. If you sit there and just watch his whole round and then watch Hollow’s whole round, on any round, he’s more consistent in the round. That’s why I got Lux. I think the thing that Hollow did, bringing out Calicoe’s father and all that, I think that was dope, but how do I know that’s Hollow’s father? Nigga could be a mechanic. That’s real shit. I don’t know that’s Calicoe’s father….I’m not that type of nigga, I don’t fall for anything. I’m not saying it’s not. If it was, it’s dope. But you need to do more. You can’t just sell me a story. You gotta prove your story to me. That’s just me.”
Including himself on a short-list of names who he thinks have the potential to win against the popular rapper, Goodz went on to explain the possibility that Mook “will be able to break Lux down.”
“Lux, I think the only people he would really have a little trouble with is Clips, Reks, Mook, and—people gon’ be bugging, but I’m gonna say—me, too," Goodz says. "The reason I say that is because this: With Mook, it’s something totally different. With niggas like Clips, Reks, and me, we can talk to Lux. You’re not gonna outrap Lux. You’re gonna have to talk to him. It’s not a lot of dudes that can talk to him. I got a strategy for everybody. But it’s not a lot of dudes that can talk to Lux, and really talk to him, and snap on him, and then go back into talking to him. The three dudes I named can do that and be funny, and talk the street shit to him, and break him down. Mook is not really funny, but Mook can break you down. That’s Mook. He can break you down. Mook will tell a story about you and it might not be true, but you’re gonna believe the story. That’s why I say he might have a little trouble. It’s gonna be a good battle because Mook has that capability. He will be able to break Lux down.”
