Dizaster On Daylyt: "You Can't Really Be Mad At The End Of The Day"

In an exclusive interview with HipHopDX, Dizaster shared his thoughts on Daylyt’s antic-driven style battling style. Admitting that he has both respect and a level of disapproval for some of Daylyt’s stunts, Dizaster described feeling like it’s hard to criticize his tactics given their success.

“Daylyt’s a fucking idiot,” he says, speaking from HipHopDX headquarters. “He’s the homie but he’s an idiot. You can never come at me, Active, any of the homies, we are not responsible for Daylyt’s movements. When you battle me, don’t use a Daylyt punchline. I’m telling you now it’s irrelevant. It’s not gonna work...You can’t use that against me. That’s Daylyt. That’s the only thing you can’t use against me. It’s Day. He knows we hate that shit. He knows motherfuckers don’t like that shit. But Day is such a fucking maniac that when he does this shit, people like him. So he makes it hard for people to fucking be mad at him. His homies from the hood or whatever. He got OG’s that probably want to slap the shit out of him for that shit. But, he got people liking him and he’s doing something that people are making it seem like it’s right to do. If it’s right to the people and it’s entertainment, you can’t really be mad at the end of the day. If people all turn on Daylyt...people are like, ‘Fuck that, we don’t fuck with Day anymore.’ Then I think his homies and most people gon’ be on his head including me. I’m definitely gonna be like, ‘See, you dumb motherfucker.’ But we can’t do that today because he does this shit and he’s a genius. He’s really pulling this shit off.

“How do you make a rapper disappear mid-battle?” he adds. “One of my favorite battlers too, B-Magic. I fuck with B-Magic. People know, I don’t just say this shit to say this shit, I talked to B-Magic on the phone like two and a half years ago. I was talking to Magic before these cats really knew who he was. He had like one battle out or some shit. I was telling him, ‘You the craziest dude out there. You gon’ kill this shit. Verb all these dudes ain’t ready for you. You’re better than Verb, Hitman.’ I told him a long time ago, ‘You need to take their spot.’ He goes on stage and Day makes him vanish.

“How are you gonna get mad at the dude?” Dizaster continues. “Fuck it. Day is crazy. He’s like a super fucking character. He’s like a mutant. He’s the Joker. He’s the guy Batman wants to kill and just can’t kill him.”
