Organik discusses battle rappers branding themselves, pay-per-view and battle rap as a career.

Organik talked exclusively with BattleRap.com about rappers branding themselves, battle rap as a career and transitioning to pay-per-view. The King Of The Dot-founder addressed battle rappers not using their worth wisely and branding themselves properly.

“Your brand is worth money and thats something these battle rappers don’t take advantage of,” Organik says. “You gotta understand when you’re paying for these rappers you’re paying for a brand.”

Organik also explained King Of The Dot's transition from various outlets to pay-per-view and the reason it took so long.

“It took us about 3-4 years," he says. "I was very skeptical on it at first, because you know the content that you create and everything, you know, we didn’t really know how to tackle the bootlegging issue. Not only that, [but to] a lot of the rappers at that point when battle rap first spawned, views were dollars.”
