Hollow Da Don Breaks Down URL's NOME 4 Event Card

"The only thing I disagree with is seven battles," Hollow says of the NOME 4 event. "It should be five."

With the upcoming URL NOME 4 event scheduled for June 7, battler Hollow Da Don spoke with VladTV about some of the card’s matchups and his own predictions.

Speaking generally about the event, Hollow said that the card might feature too many battles.

“The only thing I disagree with is seven battles,” he said. “It should be five. I keep telling Smack. Five...That’s seems like a long time standing up, especially with intermissions and shit. As far as the card though, I think the card’s fuego. I like every battle.”

Running through each of the card’s battles, Hollow started with the main event pitting Tay Roc against Charlie Clips.

“That need to happen,” he said. That need to happen.”

Later in the interview, Hollow returned to the battle and explained feeling like Clips has a slight edge.

“That’s why I said that shit needed to happen,” he said. “They both at the level right now. I think Tay Roc ain’t lose like his last...few battles. Clips too. Clips been going crazy. That’s a battle I really can’t call that. But if I had to, if I had to put my money, I would say Clips.”

On the subject of the DNA versus relative newcomer Ill Will, Hollow detailed his bias for DNA.

“See I think that was just Smack just want Ill Will to try to come up,” Hollow said. “DNA giving him a shot to come up. DNA always do that then he clip a nigga’s wings down. I hope they freestyle a lot ‘cause both them niggas nice with the freestyles. That’s what I’m expecting from that battle. Bars gon’ be there. Ill Will he got that Swayzeness. He don’t go like super crazy bars like B-Magic, but he do got bars my guy. He be snapping.

“I don’t do predictions,” he added. “I want DNA to win. That’s my nigga though, obviously from Queens. I want DNA to win. If I did do predictions I would be bias and say DNA anyway.”

Moving onto the Big T and B Magic battle, Hollow described feeling like that was the only matchup that doesn't fit.

“I don’t like the matchup,” he said. “That’s the only matchup on the card I don’t like. I wanna see B Magic and Conceited. I wanna see B Magic and Ty Law. I wanna see niggas bar their life away. Some shit like that. But you never know ‘cause some of them matches do be crazy.”

Admitting that he’s not sure how Reed Dollaz will perform against John John Da Don, Hollow compared the issue to his own battle against Joe Budden.

“That’s another one,” he said. “If I had to put my money I gotta go with John John. Just off the fact I ain’t seen Reed. I don’t know. That’s what I’m saying, you could never bet on a nigga you ain’t seen. How does that make sense? That’s what bothers me about how people saying Joe Budden’s gonna beat me. I understand if you’re a Joe Budden fan and a Rap fan, but if you a Battle fan how could you say that? If you never seen him? That’s what I’m saying about John John and Reed. If I had to bet I’d definitely go with John John. But I can’t wait to see what this nigga Reed brings. That’s real rap.”
