DNA Predicts Cortez Will Beat T-Rex 2-1 At NOME 4

"I feel like Cortez got a lot more to prove because this his first NOME," DNA says. "This is a dude that is top tier that's never been on one of those stages."

Speculating on one of the bigger match ups on SMACK/URL’s NOME 4 event card, DNA said he think Cortez will beat T-Rex 2-1 while speaking with VladTV.

Describing why he thinks Cortez is hungrier for the win, DNA said he has more prove.

“On a stage like NOME, you can never count somebody like T-Rex out,” he said. “He’s a veteran...He does it. He might not even have the craziest rhyme...It’s gonna be entertaining. But in this sense I feel like T-Rex can’t play it because Cortez lately—me and him spoke about this a while ago. A lot of people counting Cortez out, he wasn’t going hard enough, he was slacking. But lately he’s turned up. His last seven, eight battles have been phenomenal. I got Cortez winning because I feel like he’s more hungry. I feel like Rex is gon’ come with it, but Rex don’t have a sense of urgency. If Rex lose to Cortez he’s getting booked to Summer Madness. If Cortez lose to Rex, they might not put him on a big stage again. So I feel like Cortez got a lot more to prove because this his first NOME. This is a dude that is top tier that’s never been on one of those stages...I got Cortez winning.”

Asked specifically about his round-by-round breakdown, DNA predicts a 2-1 win for Cortez.

“2-1,” he said. “Anything is possible. But it’s very hard to 3-0 Rex."

Speaking about his own career, DNA explained taking battles for the check more than for the motivation to win.

“I always try to tell people—and this is my fault—sometimes we’re taking a lot of battles,” he said. “Having life situations where you have to pay bills and shit, you start taking the battles for the bread and stop taking them for the love. It’s been a couple battles recently where I might have bullshitted. I came in there, wrote my rounds 24 hours before, did mad name flips, didn’t really take my opponent serious. Which leaves room for error. So now people go, ‘Oh, look at his performance there. Look at that.’ Then they forget when it’s a hungry DNA, what I’ve done. Me and Dizaster is one of the most legendary battles in Battle Rap. I have performances that a lot of niggas can’t top.”
