Chilla Jones Discusses Upcoming Battle Between Dizaster And Math Hoffa

Chilla Jones also details his Twitter beef with Dizaster.

Chilla Jones talked exclusively with BattleRap.com at King Of The Dot's Vendetta 2: Redemption in Los Angeles, California on April 19. In the interview the Boston, Massachusetts native spoke about the upcoming battle between Dizaster and Math Hoffa, his Twitter altercation with the former King Of The Dot champion and his feelings towards the battle between Caustic and Aye Verb.

When discussing the battle between Dizaster and Math Hoffa, scheduled for June 28 at King Of The Dot “Battle Of LA 5” event, Chilla Jones said he would edge the win to Dizaster.

“This Battle Rap shit, man, it’s wrestling,” he said. “People play characters. People are different on camera than they are off camera and all this other shit, man. That’s all I think Dizaster’s trying to do is hype up a battle between them for “Battle Of LA” or whatever King Of The Dot events might be coming up, but I don’t buy that.”

He continues: “I would like to see that battle go down though. Dizaster vs. Math? I would probably actually edge it to Dizaster, man. Dizaster is not my favorite emcee of the moment right now, we had some words on Twitter, but in all honesty I would edge it to him in that battle. I think Dizaster right now is better than Math.”

Talking about his exchange of words on Twitter with Dizaster, Chilla Jones admits it’s easy to irritate and get under the former KOTD champion’s skin.

“It’s interesting because it was basically a fan back-and-forth concerning me and Real Deal,” he said. “A fan said something like, ‘Chilla’s gon’ beat Real Deal one day,’ or something like that, and Dizaster had kind of intervened and said something along the lines of ‘Chilla Jones is not in the same class of emcee as Real Deal.’ So I said something back like, ‘You lost to Arcane, your opinion doesn’t matter,’ and he just kind of flew off the fucking handles and started calling me all types of shit. I’m a real chilled dude, I’m laid-back, it’s hard to get me to lose my composure. You can say what you want to say to me and it’s not going to bother me. I’m not heavy on the Twitter beefs or none of that shit. He’s the opposite. It’s real easy to get under his skin.”

Speaking before the battle between Caustic and Aye Verb, Chilla Jones says he feels Aye Verb was more motivated for the original scheduled match up with Shotty Horroh but admits he finds it hard to see Aye Verb losing.

“Verb’s one of my favorites right now,” he said. “When he get in show time mode he damn near unstoppable. But it’s gonna depend, man. I think on Verb it’s gonna depend on how motivated he is. I feel like he was more motivated for Shotty Horroh, who was his original opponent, than he is for Caustic. Plus there wasn’t a lot of preparation time. Caustic really is good at freestyling so he might have the advantage as far as preparation time goes but I don’t really see Verb losing to Caustic, man. I don’t see it. It probably won’t be a body but I don’t see Verb losing to Caustic.”
