Charlie Clips Discusses Cancelled Tay Roc Battle

Charlie Clips also addresses the potential rematch saying “it’s going down.”

VladTV spoke exclusively with Charlie Clips following NOME 4, an event that took place on June 7 in New York. The highly anticipated rematch between himself and Tay Roc was the only battle on the card to be cancelled due to time constraints. In the interview, the Harlem, New York lyricist spoke about the abandoned match, whether or not the events of the night will find their way into a potential scheme, the battle between DNA and Ill Will and finally a few words on the Young Gattas and Ms. Hustle battle.

Speaking on the cancelled battle between Tay Roc and himself, Charlie Clips admitted his disappointment but assures the matchup is going down.

“That’s the battle that everybody came to see, me versus Tay Roc the rematch,” he said. “It didn’t go down due to time restraints with the club, they’re real strict about their time and things happen sometimes. I was very disappointed, it was very disappointing to everybody tonight but me and Tay Roc’s in talk. Shout-out to URL we’re gonna get the whole thing situated, we gon’ get it chopping and we gon’ see what we gon’ do. It’s going down though, he gotta die again. It’s going down.”

Asked whether or not the cancelled event will feature as a potential scheme in the rematch, Charlie Clips toyed with the idea.

“Oh definitely,” he said. “I ain’t gon’ tell you what’s gon’ be in there, Tay Roc might be watching, I can’t give him the recipe on how to be great, but nah, real talk it most likely will be in there, I might not have to mention it but we’ll see what’s up, though.”

Reacting to the battle between DNA and Ill Will, Charlie Clips said he was very proud of DNA for going back to his former style.

“I’m extremely proud of DNA because that’s two battles back-to-back where he went to that old DNA,” he said. “Against Prez Mafia and against Ill Will it showed. I’m extremely proud of DNA. I brought him a new tooth, I’m gonna present him with it later, he doesn’t know. Shout-out to my lil’ bro.”

Speaking on the matchup between Young Hustle and Ms. Gattas being labeled as one of the best battles of the night, Charlie Clips said it’s great that the females are being regarded as putting on the best contest.

“Yo, I’m mad I didn’t see [Ms.] Hustle and [Young] Gattas.” He continues: “I heard they went crazy, they Rap for 30 years, I heard they went crazy. For the females to be mentioned as battle of the night that’s great work… Shout-out to Gattas, shout-out to Ms. Hustle, salute to both of the ladies.”
