Daylyt Says Joining Slaughterhouse Is "One Of [His] Serious Goals"

"I'm actually working on some stuff with trying to be the fifth member of Slaughterhouse," Daylyt says in an interview with VladTV.

On Tuesday (June 24), Daylyt claimed that he is stepping away from Battle Rap and largely shrugged off an upcoming battle against Charlie Clips. In an interview released by VladTV today, the rapper expands on his ambitions outside of Battle Rap.

When asked about upcoming music, Daylyt referenced his playing a different role than usual in a collaboration with UTK.

“I do got something,” he said. “I wanna talk about my man. My man UTK has a very serious project coming up which his Dope project. I am featured on that, but I’m not featured on it in a way that ya’ll probably gonna hear me. I’m featured on it [on] the production end. The music video end, that’s the role I play in it. I also do the camera shit for those who don’t know so I’m behind that on the camera end. That’s one of my main focuses right now, really getting his project out.

“That’s pretty much it,” he later said. “That’s all I got working—oh well, I might as well talk about it since this is gonna be after. I’m actually working on some stuff with trying to be the fifth member of Slaughterhouse. Things are in the works. That’s my goal. That’s one of my serious goals. I can’t really give too much detail on it, but that’s literally one of my serious, serious goals.”

Yesterday, Battle Rap reported on Daylyt’s announcement that footage of his battle appearance on Ab-Soul’s These Days… album will be soon released.

“I’ve made it to the level where I’m clearly outside of Battle Rap,” he said before referencing the placement. “I battled Ab-Soul, I got another TDE member coming up in August, which is a big TDE member. This is gonna be a big event for the West Coast. I’m done with battling these regular cats. It’s over with for me. I don’t really care for that type of stuff. My album is in the process, look into my head. Everything is in the works. Big shouts out to Eminem for making that legit. Daylyt is an official member of Shady records. It’s just a lot of stuff.”
