Tori Doe & C3 Speak On Upcoming Battle At QOTR's "No Holds Barred"

Rapper Tori Doe is scheduled to make her return to Battle Rap against C3 this Saturday (June 28).

This Saturday (June 28), battle rapper Tori Doe is scheduled to stage a comeback against a Queen of the Ring battler on the rise in C3. Ahead of the league’s “No Holds Barred” event, both women spoke with VladTV about expectations for the match.

On the opportunity to be the first battler to face Tori upon her return, C3 said “every battle is the same.”

“It’s always that little nervousness or worry,” she said. “And that hunger to just go hard. I don’t sleep on anybody. I’m definitely not sleeping on Tori ‘cause she’s been here, she’s been doing it. I’m just ready to go.”

With a string of recent wins to her name, C3 went on to speculate on her opponent’s performance after a years long hiatus.

“I don’t think it’s a step down at all because she’s one of the original Queen of the Ring girls,” she said of the match-up. “She’s definitely not new to the ring so, no, it’s not a step down. Honestly, it’s hard to call how it’s gonna be because the last time we seen her in the ring she had an excellent performance. I’m not too sure of what to expect. So it’s kind of a guessing game of, ‘I wonder what she gonna say. I wonder how she gonna come out that day.’

“So many people wanted to see her back, it didn’t matter who the name was,” she added. “So many people would have been tuned in just because, ‘Oh shit, Tori’s coming back.’ So it kind of goes both way,’”

Responding to comments about the possibility of “ring rust,” Tori Doe explained feeling like it’s not a legitimate concern.

“It’s just how the people is gonna be embrace me that night,” she said. “Whatever angle I’m coming from, it’s just how they willing to accept all that. I think that’s it. It don’t really have anything to do with how I perform, I think that’s one of the things I excel in regardless [of] the audience or whatever...C3 is a good opponent to come back with. She did just come off a good battle. Somewhat at her peak right now, for her to take me being that there’s so much clout, that was dope.”

During the interview Tori Doe also brushed aside comparisons to Loaded Lux and asked fans to “stop saying that.”

“I don’t know why people feel that,” she said. “My battle with [40 B.A.R.R.S.], I just had a whole scheme to work off of. That’s the route I chose to go on that battle. I definitely don’t treat every battle like that. That was a different situation so I went about that differently. I’m definitely not a Lux, I’m not preaching to nobody’s life, trying to get everybody on the right track. That’s not how I market myself in Battle Rap so I wouldn’t say that. Please stop saying that.”
