Illmaculate Explains Eminem's "Total Slaughter" Impact On Battle Rap

Illmaculate: "Total Slaughter has the ability to up the stakes."

Illmaculate, who has won several Battle Rap competitions throughout his career spoke exclusively with BattleRap.com and says he’s pleased to see Eminem's Total Slaughter come to fruition.

"Total Slaughter has the opportunity to put Battle Rap again on a larger pedestal, in more people’s faces who aren’t necessarily already a part of it,” Illmaculate says in an exclusive interview with Battle Rap.

Illmaculate says that despite Total Slaughter’s potential success, Battle Rap has some obstacles to climb.

"Battle Rap has a huge following, but it’s still almost kinda like an inside thing,” Illmaculate says. "Even the references, like you almost have to know some history of like this dude’s last battle, that’s not the case with every battle, but like there’s a lot of like inside [information] and subcultural references and I think that Total Slaughter has the ability to once again up the stakes and put it on a larger scale and maybe open up some resources for the battle community at large.”

Illmaculate recently released Clay Pigeons and he has an upcoming battle against Aye Verb at King of the Dot’s Battle of LA 5 event set to take place June 28.
