King Of The Dot founder, Organik, released an official statement this morning (July 2) regarding the fight between battle rappers Math Hoffa and Dizaster that occurred at BOLA5 (June 28).
Aside from sending his apologies for the incident to those who attended the event, he clears the air concerning the future of KOTD and Battle Rap.
"We at KOTD do not condone violence at our events nor find any outlet or excuse to find violence acceptable whatsoever," said Organik.
He proceeded to detail the punishment for the actions of Dizaster by stating that he is banned for life from KOTD. It can be lifted into a minimal one year suspension if he makes a public, genuine apology and pays a $2,500 fine towards the damages from the incident.
"This is not a case of having Dizaster back in KOTD but a case of taking the right steps forward in killing any sort of animosity these actions have brought upon battle rap as a culture," Organik states.
He is not only upset with Dizaster's actions, he is also upset with how the venue security handled the event, stating that they weren't seen trying to get involved to break up the altercation.
Organik commends Math Hoffa for how he has handled the whole situation and states that he is merely a victim of violence. "He's (Math Hoffa) a professional and has always conducted himself as one underneath the KOTD banner.
"For the sake of battle rap, let's move forward in the right direction," Organik finishes.
