Crooked I Talks Reasoning Behind "Road To Total Slaughter" Show

Crooked I, also, names greatest lyricists in Hip Hop.

Slaughterhouse emcee Crooked I spoke with VladTV at HipHopDX's 15th anniversary party and discussed the importance of Battle Rap for the Hip Hop culture.

"Battle Rap is very important," said Crooked I. "That's why we got this show called [Road To] Total Slaughter on Fuse TV, comes on Wednesdays. It's a Battle Rap reality show produced by Slaughterhouse and Eminem," he explains.

Road To Total Slaughter premiered on June 18. The third episode aired last night (July 3). This four-part reality series ends next week and the Total Slaughter main event will be held on July 12.

Crooked I says, "So, you know, we're just trying to push that culture forward, keep those dudes eatin', you know what I mean, and shedding light on what they do 'cause what they do is incredible."

When asked about the lyricism aspect of the rap game today, he says there are people representing that aspect but it probably won't be known if you only listen to the radio.

His top three emcee's haven't changed, as he said, "[Eminem], [Jay Z], I don't know who in that third spot right now," he continues, "After "Rap God," Em kinda said 'Hey, you still can't fuck with me'."
