Debo Says E Hart, Young Gattas Battle Was “A Few Years In The Making”

Exclusive: Debo also addresses the battle between Jaz The Rapper and 40 B.A.R.R.S.

BattleRap.com spoke exclusively with Queen Of The Ring’s CEO, Debo, at Rare Breed Entertainment’s “Lift His Soul” event this past Saturday (July 5) in New York. During the interview, Debo spoke on the battle between E Hart and Young Gattas, a matchup that took place at Queen Of The Ring’s “No Holds Barred” on June 28.

“It’s no secret, man, E Hart’s like my little sister, I love E Hart,” Debo affirmed. “Her and [Young] Gattas was a battle that was a few years in the making. We tried to get Gattas and E Hart back then, right after E Hart battled Ms. Hustle we tried to get Gattas on the card but that didn’t happen unfortunately. Timing is everything and it happened last week at “N.H.B.” and that battle was crazy. Gattas had bars and E Hart had bars. The crowd was going crazy.”

Debo also addressed the bout between 40 B.A.R.R.S. and Jaz The Rapper, a battle that also appeared on the event card for “N.H.B.” During the matchup, 40 B.A.R.R.S. experienced multiple chokes that resulted in her forfeiting her third round.

“[The] crowd was going crazy,” Debo said. “Jaz [The Rapper] hasn’t battled at Queen Of The Ring for over two and a half years I think, so when she came back, the love she got was phenomenal, [it was] like she never left. 40 [B.A.R.R.S.] performance could have been better… [but] it is what it is. That battle was ill.”

Finally Debo spoke on the fans of Queen Of The Ring saying he has greater respect for them than the “friends” and “entourages” of the battlers.

“We love the fans,” explains Debo. “Listen, when ya’ll pay ya’ll hard-earned money to come see us and you get that nine-to-five check and you pay at the front door, you supported my brand. Those are the people that I love and I fuck with the most. The friends and the entourages, I don’t have as much respect for them as I have for the people that pay. I mean I have respect obviously, but the people that pay I wanna put them first. The people that pay, I respect ya’ll the most. Thank ya’ll very much, continue to support these ladies.”
