Lord Jamar and Sadat X discussed the upcoming battle between Joe Budden and Hollow Da Don at this weekend's Total Slaughter. In an interview with VladTV, Lord Jamar and Sadat X would put their money on Hollow Da Don.
Although Joe Budden is "a hell of a rapper" as Lord Jamar said and Sadat X agreed, they both believe that Hollow Da Don is going to win the battle because he's been doing Battle Rap for a long time.
"He's (Hollow Da Don) been doing it (Battle Rapping) steadily for a while," said Lord Jamar.
"I just hope that he's (Joe Budden) going to be ready for it 'cause you know Don's going to come with that shit," added Sadat X.
They also discuss the transitions of rappers going into Battle Rapping and Battle Rappers going into rapping for songs, such as Eminem and Meek Mill. Joe Budden, as they mentioned, may or may not be fully prepared for that transition to battle Hollow Da Don.
"I would have to imagine that he (Joe Budden) know's what he's going up against," Sadat X commented.
When talking about Lord Jamar and Sadat X's come up in the industry as emcee's, Lord Jamar said, "You definitely had to have a couple battles coming up in life." Although, he did point out that battles back then were not like how they are today.
"It wasn't really a battle cypher, it was more of a let me see what you got cypher," he added.
