Hollow Da Don On Joe Budden: "I could've did better and killed him"

Following his Total Slaughter victory, Hollow Da Don sets sights on Charlie Clips.

This past Saturday, July 12, Hollow Da Don battled against Joe Budden at Total Slaughter in New York.

Hollow Da Don won based on the judges decision but he doesn't feel like he did as well as he could have, he said in an interview with ThatShitIsHotSun!.

"I'm my worst critic bro so I'm going to definitely feel disappointed 'cause I didn't feel like I did my best potential 'cause of the mic," he explains.

Hollow Da Don later adds, "I'm not going to sit here like all these battle rappers like 'I killed it. Easy body, easy body. 3-0."

He reportedly had technical difficulties during his battle causing him to get caught off guard. According to him, the microphone giving out during his battle negatively affected his performance.

"I don't want to make excuses, bro, but people don't understand when you're shit is off and your words is going in and out, you hearing that shit and you're thinking in your head like 'this fucking mic is fucking...' and you're still trying to rap, remember your lines, you know what I'm saying so, that was kind of throwing me off.

"I don't feel I lost, I just feel like I could've did better and killed him," continued Hollow Da Don.

Aside from the microphone, he said that he's more comfortable performing in front of smaller crowds. Even though he still loves big crowds because of the amount of support his fans give off, he claims that he "gets off" of smaller audiences.

He continues by saying that the footage from the battle will speak for itself. Apart from that, the fans who understand his "bars and lines" will support the performance and keep showing love for him.

Hollow Da Don mentions that he has another battle in the works but doesn't give any details. He does add, though, that if what he has planned doesn't work out, he wants to please the crowd in giving them something with Charlie Clips.

He, also, shares his opinion on how he feels about The Road To Total Slaughter reality show and what it's done to the Battle Rap community.

"Man I feel beautiful, I feel great, I feel lovely," he shares from the perspective of being in the midst of it all.
