Daylyt And Arsonal, O-Red And Charlie Clips Face Off Before U Dubb's Annihilation

Battlers detail expectations for their upcoming match-ups at this weekend's U Dubb Annihilation event.

Ahead of this weekend’s U Dubb-hosted Annihilation event in New Jersey, the league released faceoffs between some of the battlers on the card. Arsonal and Daylyt talked about their upcoming battle in separate interviews, while O-Red and Charlie Clips discussed their match-up face-to-face.

This week B Magic and Charron -- another match-up slated for the same card -- took to Twitter to exchange words ahead of their battle as well.

O-Red And Charlie Clips Detail U Dubb Annihilation Battle

Sitting down with Jay Blac, O-Red and Charlie Clips traded barbs, compliments, and explained their opinions on each other in a pre-battle faceoff. During the interview the rappers talked about several of each other’s previous battles and discussed the place of debatables on the scene and within their own careers.

Addressing unofficial consensus that he’s the underdog, O-Red said, “It makes me feel like I felt a year or two ago. But the real motivation with Charlie is ... that a lot of people feel he never lost.”

“Magic is my most debatable one,” Clips said for himself. “I say that all day. But that’s on me.”

“Imma thirty Charlie Clips,” O-Red said after comparing him to another Harlem battler, T-Rex. "Imma thirty him. The only reason Imma thirty him is because if it’s a 2-1 y'all gon’ feel like it’s a debatable.”

Giving props to O-Red, Clips claimed that despite his talent, "nobody takes him serious."

“Y'all know me, I never talk shit," he said. "Dude is fire. It’s my boy. He know he’s crazy with it. The problem is that he’s super talented but nobody takes him serious. That’s fucked up.”

Daylyt And Arsonal Break Down Upcoming Battle

In separate interviews, Daylyt and Arsonal addressed their upcoming rematch.

“I’m not playing no more, shit real,” Arsonal said in response to his strong Total Slaughter performance against Big T. “I got a real life. I gotta provide for that.”

“We goin’ one round,” Arsonal said of the battle. “Five, six, seven, eight, nine [minutes]. You know? Whatever. It don’t really matter to me.”

During his interview, Daylyt explained the motivation to grant the rematch after a contentious decision on Episode 2 of "The Road to Total Slaughter."

“Daylyt vs. Arsonal, which is a Part 2, as y'all seen it went down on 'Total Slaughter,'” he said. “Decisions was made, a lot of people feel the decisions was unfair. It’s just a whole lot of controversy about the decision. Me and Arsonal actually agreed to do it again to give the fans what they want. The fans want to see a little more of that so we gon’ give ’em what they want.”

Speaking on his expectations for Daylyt’s performance, Arsonal said, “Hopefully he can act right and bring back the attention for the culture.”

“It’s been going on in battle rap, a lot of bullshit,” he added. “That don’t happen over here for some reason. This league right here, man? Whoever in charge of this shit, niggas don’t be letting that shit go down. That shit go down right every time ... None of that foo-foo funny shit ain’t going on down here. Niggas already know how we get it in. We don’t play all that shit. No-fly zone with that bullshit. We gon’ rap. That’s the homeboy, he already know the love is always there.”

“Truthfully, nobody knows what to expect from me,” Daylyt said for himself. “Nobody knows what to expect from me based on my prior battles. One thing I learned about the fans, they forget very fast. They’re very forgetful. They forget that, you know, I am one of them dudes. They can literally say, ‘Yo, you have antics.’ They can say that all they want, let’s not forget. Just don’t forget.”

The U Dubb Annihilation event is scheduled for this Sunday (July 27) in Newark, NJ. A pay-per-view is scheduled to air the following day.
