Loaded Lux Says Murda Mook “Went In For Blood”

Loaded Lux also reveals he expected to be booed against Murda Mook “a little bit.”

After his rematch with Murda Mook at Total Slaughter on July 12, Loaded Lux sat down with VladTV where he explained his approach to the battle.

The Harlem, New York lyricist said he was too respectful to Mook going into the battle, whereas his opponent “went in for blood.”

“This is never to discredit anything Mook did, he did exceptionally well in terms of a great display of the culture,” explains Loaded Lux. “He did everything he was supposed to do. On the door, from the initial, we gon’ keep this on the stove, I kept it on the stove! We didn’t go in the oven with it, you know what I mean? I’m taking full responsibility for that, that’s on me … We came through with a certain mindset on how we were gonna do things, I kept it on the surface for the most part … His approach was his approach, he went in for blood. We supposed to do that, that’s why I don’t take nothing away from him.”

“Let’s just say we won’t be so kind next time,” he continues. “We kept it on the stove, let’s just say that. As far as going in that oven, in the pit of things, touching on things, yeah, we kept it on the stove. But, we ain’t gon’ be so kind next time.”

Also in the interview, Loaded Lux discusses being booed during the battle saying, “It comes with the playing field.”

“You try not to go in with expectations,” he says. “Of course you’ve got victory in your whole scope of things. As far as [being booed] specifically, there’s always a chance, with things not landing [and] people not being receptive. Everybody gets it when they get it and that’s cool … It comes with the playing field … Did I overall expect it? A little bit.”
