Daylyt Agrees To Battle KOTD Champ Pat Stay

“I don’t want to battle you for the chain," Daylyt says. "I don’t want to be the Canadian champ, I’m not Canadian. I don’t care to be the King of the Dot champ. I don’t want to be a winner yo. I want to be the biggest loser ever.

After first announcing a hiatus from battle rap in June, KOTD champ Pat Stay then opened up an offer to battle Daylyt in a vlog last month. Day responded with many tweets and Facebook posts about coming for the chain, but has now released a video airing out his thoughts on the potential match-up.

In addition to calling out Pat for not accepting his own challenge years ago, Daylyt said that Pat’s latest call-out is proof that “tables have turned.”

“A while back, before I was popping, I actually wanted to battle Pat Stay,” he said. “I threw it in the air to Illmac. Illmac said no. Threw it in the air to Hollohan. Hollohan said no. Threw it in the air to Pat and if I’m not mistaken Pat said no. Tables have turned and we’re at a point of rap where I am that nigga. I really am that nigga. It has become evident that I really am that nigga in battle rap. Whether I win or lose, it doesn’t matter. I’m literally at the top of battle rap. I’m so much at the top of battle rap that I’m destroying battle rap and building battle rap at the same time. I can lose one day and then put on the fucking best battle y'all ever seen the very next day. I own battle rap. Nothing you can do about it. You have to watch this video. Right now, you’re watching me... The tables turned Pat. It’s clear to see that I don't need you. I don’t need to battle you. I gain nothing from battling Pat Stay... You need this battle more than me. You need to prove to your little white fans that you can battle a street crazy dude.”

Daylyt went on to warn Pat against the possibility of violence at a battle in Los Angeles.

“If you’re taking this battle to prove a point--not to prove you can beat me or to fight for your chain--that you not scared to battle somebody like me in my own town, if you have plans on doing something other than rap, I can tell you this with all my heart Pat Stay, this is God as my witness... If you have any plans on coming to Los Angeles to battle me and your plan is to do anything outside of rap, God as my witness, you will go back to Canada dead,” Daylyt said. “With that being said, I agree to battle Pat Stay in Los Angeles. Organik, set it up. Lush One, set it up. Aspect One, set it up.”

Near the end of the video, in which Day also announces that he’s moved to New Jersey, the Watts rapper also says he’s not interested in the title of being the KOTD champ.

“Yo Pat, I don’t want your chain,” he said. “I don’t want to battle you for the chain. I don’t want to be the Canadian champ, I’m not Canadian. I don’t care to be the King of the Dot champ. I don’t want to be a winner yo. I want to be the biggest loser ever. I don’t care for winning. Winning is not something I care for as y'all can see. I don’t want your chain. Leave your chain at home. Don’t bring it. I don’t care for that.”

Separate from the video response, both rappers went back and forth on Twitter about the battle.

Daylyt has also just released another video, detailing what antic he and Pat plan on using in the battle:
