After news of a battle between Cassidy and Dizaster was announced over the weekend, Dizaster spoke with 15 Minutes Of Fame Radio yesterday and also appeared on TMZ last night (August 26). In the same time period, FilmOn released a trailer for the battle (scheduled to take place at an event called "Ether" in early December) and former Diz opponent Math Hoffa reacted to the match-up on Twitter.
Speaking with 15MofeRadio, Dizaster explained the process of securing the match-up.
“It wasn’t really out of nowhere,” he said. “It’s been going on for a minute. It didn’t happen overnight. He seems to be confident and ready in wanting to come back and jump into the ring.”
When asked what fans can expect from his showing, Dizaster said, “just a really polished performance.”
“I have enough time,” he added. “I’m definitely gonna be extremely versatile. I’m definitely the right guy to battle Cass because I’m gonna bring so many different styles and elements into this. I’m just gonna make it an extreme classic. People are gonna be proud of what I’m gonna do. I think everybody should really support me because Cass really, legitimately thinks this shit is funny and that he’s just better than everybody and that he’s above battling. I don’t know how much he really thinks that himself but it seems that that’s what he’s [saying].”
Shortly after the announcement of the battle, a match-up trailer was released by Fresh Coast Media Group and FilmOn, the partnership promoting and airing the battle.

Yesterday, Diz also appeared on TMZ, freestyling for them on the streets of Beverly Hills in a segment that also outlined the current battle rap scene and Diz's recent performance and fight with Math Hoffa.
Math Hoffa himself took to Twitter to question the match-up given that Diz was recently banned from KOTD for the punch heard around the battle rap world.
