Speaking to VladTV, Smack White and DNA addressed the latter’s upcoming battle with Tay Roc at URL’s flagship “Summer Madness 4” event on September 28.
In the interview, URL host Smack White says Tay Roc is a tougher opponent than Ill Will, who DNA beat at “Night of Main Events 4” following comments from Smack saying he thought DNA was “going to get killed.”
“I’m definitely thinking that it’s gonna be a tougher challenge than the first one that we basically put together,” Smack White says. “I never know with this kid. This is like my little bro so we always argue back-and-forth. He thinks he’s the illest in the world and I’m going against him telling him: ‘Nah, man. This person could get you.’ But now, we get to see. I’m real excited about the DNA and Tay Roc battle just because them two are my favorites. Tay Roc definitely my number one gunner. I’m an advocate of Tay Roc. I think that he always bring 110 percent every time he step in the ring, as well as DNA. I’m just happy and excited to see both of these emcees go face to face… If he come on his bullshit he gon’ get killed.”
Later on in the interview, Smack and DNA humorously went back-and-forth discussing the battle.
“I want them to keep doubting me ‘cause every time they do, you see the result,” DNA says.
“He feel that he’s gonna murder Tay Roc, I don’t think it’s gonna happen. Me personally, I think the worst it could be is a classic or you gon’ lose.” Smack says.
“You thought that with Ill Will too [laughs],” replies DNA.
DNA goes on to say that he is leaving plenty of time to prepare for Tay Roc, a formula that he hasn’t always followed in previous battles.
“Smack knows [and] some niggas that is close to me know a lot of times I prepare last minute,” DNA says. “I’m not doing that this battle because I’m not underestimating what he’s doing… [Tay Roc’s] coming to kill so it can’t be no freestyling whole rounds in this battle so I’m not even attempting that. I’m writing so we can go in there and do what we gotta do.”
“Please. Give me my money’s worth,” Smack jokingly responds.
“I do! I gave you your money’s worth last time [laughs],” DNA replies.
“Summer Madness 4” is scheduled for September 27-28, 2014 in New York.
