Bone Crusher Vs. Mike Jones Announced By MC WAR

FIRST LOOK: It’s Atlanta versus Houston as two more industry rappers get set to battle at "New World Order II."

Atlanta-based rap battle league MC WAR has upped the ante on their "New World Order II" card with the announcement that Mike Jones will face Bone Crusher as part of the “Super Star Battle” series. The three-round, on-beat battle will be the undercard for the previously announced main event between Fredro Starr and Keith Murray on September 28.

BattleRap.com is the first to bring you the announcement, as well as a first look at the new trailer:

The announcement adds to the latest wave of industry rappers stepping into the battle ring, including Joe Budden and Cassidy.

Atlanta’s Bone Crusher released his debut album AttenCHUN! in 2003 through Jermaine Dupri’s So So Def imprint. The project housed Bone Crusher’s most notable hit “Never Scared” featuring T.I. and Killer Mike. Since then, the 43-year-old rapper has been working in film and appeared in VH1’s documentary on Atlanta hip hop.

Facing off against Bone Crusher is platinum-selling artist Mike Jones. During his tenure alongside Chamillionaire and Paul Wall on Texas-based label Swishahouse, Houston emcee Mike Jones debuted Who Is Mike Jones? in 2005. “Back Then,” a solo effort off the project, is Jones’ most notable release to date, reaching #22 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. More recently, Jones has been on tour promoting his independently released Where is Mike Jones? project.

Young Jack Thriller from MTV’s “Wild ‘N Out” has also been announced as the event’s official commentator.

Besides the two “Super Star” battles, fans in attendance can expect to see match-ups including Ness Lee vs. Reign Man, E Ness vs. Sy Ari Da Kid, Lotta Zay vs. Reggie P and Syd Vicious vs. So Severe.
