KG The Poet Discusses Upcoming Danja Zone Battle

In a new video blog, KG The Poet discusses his upcoming battle with Danja Zone at SMACK/URL’s “Summer Madness 4” warm-up card on September 27.

“September 27^th, we back. URL, man. We heading back to New York… Danja Zone [laughs]. Danja Zone, man. He got bars, man, but I’m mad at you, Danja,” the Arizona-by-way-of-Michigan emcee explains. “I’m about this battle in general, man. It ain’t really about the bars ‘cause if a nigga close their eyes and watched this battle it might be one of the best battles of the year, probably.”

KG The Poet, whose previous opponents include Daylyt, Danny Myers and Sno in the finals of BET's "Ultimate Freestyle Friday" competition, also asks Danja Zone not to come with any bars about his clothing line, Taste Lyfe, as he has plenty of rebuttals in place.

“Don’t come with no Taste Lyfe bars man ‘cause I got 100 rebuttals for those, you know what I’m saying? Just visit the website and log on, man,” KG says. “Don’t come with dirty Timbs, dawg, ‘cause I will abandon everything that I’ve written just for them bitches. I fuck with you though. It should be a bar fest if you come correct.”

KG The Poet also addresses the fact he’s yet to battle in his home state of Michigan and affirms battling “on the road” doesn’t phase him.

“I ain’t battled in Michigan yet, everything has been on the road for me so I’m used to this,” he says. “I’m used to playing on the road. That’s why I think these niggas love me and that’s why I think they hate me. Either way we out there, man. I’m looking forward to it. If you out there you gotta make sure you be there, for the whole weekend.”
