Speaking with SMACK/URL representative Norbes on “The War Report,” Pontiac, Michigan emcee Ill Will addressed his upcoming battle with Arsonal at “Summer Madness 4” on September 28 in New York.
“Arsonal’s gonna lose. He’s gonna lose every round in New York,” Ill Will says.
“I’m back on now. I don’t give a fuck if you like it or not… I plan on disrespecting this nigga [including] his ugly-ass daughter… Fuck everybody he fuck with,” he continues.
Ill Will also speaks on the growth of his battle career, which picked up after dominant performances against Johnie Alcatraz and J Huggans and victory in the first season of BET's "Ultimate Freestyle Friday" tournament. More recently, he cancelled two KOTD battles against Real Deal and lost to DNA at NOME 4 (at least according to most people in the building).
"I think I done had to step back and let myself grow and not let motherfuckas try to rush my growth, speaking of Smack and Norbes and Beasley and even motherfuckas in my faculty. I really feel like I done got the bumps and bruises I needed," he says.
Addressing his battle with DNA in June, Ill Will says he felt the crowd in New York that night wasn't on his side.
“One thing with the DNA shit [is that] it kind of pissed me off… I was spitting some shit in that battle and it seemed like New York really wasn’t fuckin’ with me,” Ill Will explains. “It kind of bothered me until I got to the point where I was like, ‘You can’t dictate how these motherfuckas feel. If they don’t wanna feel your shit, they don’t need to feel your shit,’ it wasn’t for them anyway, it was supposed to be for [DNA], and that’s what I lost. I lost that factor.”
