Hitman Holla Discusses Tsu Surf Fight

“There wasn’t nothing fake about that,” Hitman Holla says about the footage of the fight with his Summer Madness 4 opponent.

With his upcoming battle with Tsu Surf at “Summer Madness 4” just over a week away, Hitman Holla spoke with VladTV to address the fight footage between himself and Tsu Surf that surfaced back in June.

Many fans have dubbed the purported footage as a set-up to gain publicity for the match-up but when asked to comment on such remarks, Hitman Holla assures the footage is authentic.

“Yeah ... It was real, that’s all I can say,” Hitman Holla explains. “At the time I was by myself. There was like five of them so I wasn’t really looking to swing, I was only gon’ hold mine if a nigga swung on — you know what I’m saying?”

“I’m moving smart so that’s why people are like, ‘Well Holla, why ain’t you just swing?’ Because it wasn’t just smart for me to swing when there were five of them. A little incident happened, he came, I don’t know what he was trying to do but my whole thing was — I was just gonna get him and grab him and slam him or something, I wasn’t even finna hit him. That’s why I never had my fist closed or whatever,” he continues. “But there wasn’t nothing fake about that. Why do I have to promote a fake fight [for] a battle the whole world already wanna see? Me and [Tsu] Surf didn’t even have to make one blog … It don’t make sense for me to have to [be like], ‘Yo, let’s do a fake fight so everybody wanna see our battle,’ [because] everybody already wanna see it. It wasn’t nothing fake. Ain’t no sense in me doing fake WCW type shit.”

Despite the history between the two battlers, Hitman Holla affirms that he’s excited to battle Tsu Surf for a number of reasons.

“[I’m] excited, man. I ain’t been on SMACK in a year … It’s versus my arch-nemesis Surf so [that’s] another reason to be excited,” he says. “It’s the headlining battle so that’s another reason to be excited. There was a big payday, that’s another reason to be excited so it’s about time for me to show Surf why he not fuckin’ with me and I’m undefeated versus his city so that’s something else to be excited for. It’s a lot of stuff lingering around that battle, man. I’m all for it, I’m up for the task.”

Hitman Holla vs. Tsu Surf goes down at Summer Madness weekend on Sunday, Sept. 28 at Irving Plaza in New York.
