Daylyt & Bizarre In Talks For "Ether" Battle

Lush One confirms he's trying to add it to the Dizaster/Cassidy card.

At Snoop Dogg’s "Gladiator School" event in Atlanta last week, BattleRap.com caught up with both Daylyt and Bizarre, who confirmed they are lining up a head-on lunatic collision at FilmOn/Fresh Coast's upcoming "Ether" event in December.

BattleRap.com also reached out to Fresh Coast boss Lush One for confirmation. He said they're "still working out the details as far as the semantics of the business. But it looks like it’s going to happen on the Dizaster/Cassidy card."

The match-up has been hinted at before -- enough so that the fake flyer above turned up to promote it -- but now it seems like it might have a league to actually book it.

As of right now, the "Ether" event, which will be broadcast live via pay-per-view only officially features Cassidy/Dizaster, but a recent Instagram post from Lush also points to a battle between Heartless and Danny Myers.

Bizarre was at the Snoop Dogg event in Atlanta to support his Detroit cohort Calicoe, and was also excited to see Hitman Holla. The D12 rapper, known for his outlandish persona as part of Eminem’s Detroit collective, verified that he's in talks to battle "the guy with the mask on his face" for Fresh Coast Media Group this winter. Despite not having battled in a while, Bizarre is confident that he has enough foundation in the form to perform.

“I started off battling, man,” he says. “People seen the movie '8 Mile,' know what I’m saying. Of course I’m in D12, we started off at the Hip Hop Shop at St. Andrews, like you seen in the movie. So … I can do this.”

He has, perhaps unsurprisingly, also confirmed that the battle will veer on the silly side. “I think Daylyt is hilarious. He’s funny man,” Bizarre says. “He’s like the Bizarre of battle rap with the antics and crazy shit so, y’know what I’m saying? We gon’ see what’s gon’ happen.”

Daylyt also greenlit the battle, with a few details to finalize, after a night he claims had the “best feel” of any event he’d attended. He also took a moment to join us in extolling the virtues of Young B’s performance.

“Young B is probably that next nigga. For sure,” he says. “And the reason why, is because, his energy level is on a level of all-time high, and he still has bars. He has bars, he’s funny, he can freestyle and he is very aggressive, and he’s very, like, clean. He has all the features to be at the top.”

He confided that he smoked his first joint with Snoop and claims his battle fee has jumped to a meaty $50,000. “There is not a person on the planet that cannot tell you I am not worth that. Not one man. I am pretty much bigger than everyone in battle rap.”

Daylyt also reveals the battle with Bizarre comes after the initial idea that he would face Loaded Lux. Day explains his fear that Lux's lacklustre reception against Mook at Total Slaughter may have sent him on a warpath. “Next battle he’s gonna come with the hoodie on. I don’t want no parts of that,” he admits. "None of us do … Every last battle rapper on the planet is petrified of the ‘Lux vs. Miles’ Lux.”

Once the contracts are signed, Daylyt vs. Bizarre will be taking place alongside Dizaster vs. Cassidy on Dec. 6 in Santa Monica, Calif.
