Music Of The Week: Dirtbag Dan, Tsu Surf, Loaded Lux

Real Deal, Caustic, and B Magic all release new music too.

After consecutive weekends of events conquered headlines, the battle rap music of the week feature returns with an extended version today. Cassidy goes off on Dizaster ahead of their winter match-up, Tsu Surf features on another Joe Budden track, and UTK enlists Ab-Soul and Loaded Lux on his latest project.

Read on for more of the last two week's highlights in music from the battle rap world.

Real Deal - "Turned My Back"

Before he faced off against Daylyt in what might now be dubbed "SquatterGate," Real Deal dropped off a somber narrative single in the form of "Turned My Back." The Daylyt vs. Real Deal match-up will be released via KOTD on November 14.

Caustic - "Soma"

Released last month, Caustic's followed up his Lush One assisted "Codeine" single with a new leak from his Free Drugs EP. Offering up a different sound from the first leak, Caustic also says that "Soma" was the first track recorded for the project.

Joe Budden feat. Tsu Surf & Ransom - "Nothing Changes"

Whether or not hardcore battle rap fans consider Joe Budden a battler or not yet, Tsu Surf tagged along for the Slaughterhouse emcee's recent "Nothing Changes" single. The Jersey connection has also yielded previous collabs like Budden's "Through My Eyes" released in 2012.

Tony Madness & Frank Stanks - "Seal Of Approval"

Collaborating with Frank Stacks for a full-length project called Mad Stacks, battler Tony Madness released "Seal Of Approval" as the record's first single earlier this month. Madness recently faced off against Real Deal in RD's hometown of Pittsburgh.

Cassidy - "Mr. Chicken"

Released as a warm-up to his Dec. 6 battle against Dizaster, Cassidy takes some shots at Diz directly but also puffs himself up with boasts about his career highlights. Proving he's in no way out of bars, Cass also references his history of match-ups against Freeway, Goodz, and plenty more (mostly secret) opponents.

UTK feat. Ab-Soul & Loaded Lux - "Talk To Em"

Pulled from UTK's recent solo release Feels Good To Be Great, Ab-Soul and Loaded Lux hopped on the standout track "Talk To Em."

Goodz - "Bird Nigga"

With Cassidy having dropped his name on his "Mr. Chicken" loosie, Goodz fired back with "Bird Nigga," dissecting Cass' career and recent plans to return to the ring.

B Magic - "Like This"

With battles against Rum Nitty and Charron added to his resume earlier this year, B Magic faced off against Conceited at "Summer Madness 4." Following up with a loose Kilo Beats produced track, Magic recently released his newest musical offering with "Like This."

Chedda Cheese - "Incompatible (Maroon 5 Parody)"

Flipping Maroon 5's single into his own parody, Chedda Cheese released a video for his version. Nitpicking all the (mostly cuisine-based) differences in tastes with a love interest, Cheese runs down all the reasons why they're not meant to be.

Dirtbag Dan feat. Rey Resurrection - "Thinking Of A Master Plan"

With his The Dirtbag Dan LP released in August via iTunes, the San Jose based emcee released his latest Rey Resurrection assisted video single earlier today. With a Stevie Wonder sample and cuts by Ichy The Killer, the track opens with Resurrection's lead-off verse before Dan brings it home.
