Don't Flop Announces Full "Sixth Birthday" Card

The U.K. league sees another year out in style.

Don’t Flop has announced the roster for the return of its flagship international event, which takes place the weekend of Nov. 15-16 in Leeds, England.

The event will host two title matches — Unanymous vs. Tony D decides the solo champion, and Shuffle-T and Marlo will be guarding the prestige of their 2-on-2 accolade against hometown team Dialect and Zen.

The influx of overseas battlers is also a switch from the recent norm, with the U.K. debuts of Big T, Lotta Zay, Yung Ill (who headlines the first day against Shotty Horroh), Bonnie Godiva, and the winner of Don’t Flop Australia’s tournament, Purpose.

Chilla Jones also dips his toe into British waters for the first time, facing off against Cee Major (in his own hard-earned international debut) in what could be the weekend's dark-horse classic.

DNA is fully wading in aforementioned British waters for the umpteenth time, arguably against his biggest challenge yet — the more-or-less unbeatable co-founder of the league, Cruger.

Also notable for many U.K. battle heads is the return of The Calcium Kid — a fan favorite since the very early days of the league. His battle with Pamflit may not be as highly anticipated as the international fixtures but it should prove to be a British sleeper hit.

Ogmios is up against Norway’s Nils m/ Skils (who hasn’t battled in the U.K. since 2012) in what may end up being the most relaxed clash to ever take place.

The rookies are also getting a run out. North American readers may be wondering who Gemini (who is up against Big T) and Mr RE (who faces Lotta Zay as his prize for winning DF’s Top 8 tournament this year) actually are. They should have more of an idea after witnessing them spar with part of the wave of URL battlers Eurgh has invited over this year.

Finally, Big J meets Uno Lavoz (the man who has previously accused him of biting his style) and Enigma gets another chance to practice his unique form of violent misogyny (and possibly a bit of racism too) against Bonnie Godiva.
