Daylyt Details 50 Tyson Match-Up, Worldwide Antics League

Daylyt also reveals he wants to plan an "all-blind rap battle" between Manaz Ill and Blind Fury.

Confirming a planned battle against viral rapper 50 Tyson, Daylyt called into PG Blogger Radio’s #DontSleepThursdays yesterday to break down the match-up and explain his "Worldwide Antics" battle rap league.

“My league is designed for you to be entertained,” Daylyt said. “That’s it. It’s just completely designed for entertainment. 110% entertainment.”

Speaking about the battle against 50 Tyson, an autistic rapper from Minneapolis who has collaborated with artists like Riff Raff and Doe Boy, Day said, “Truthfully I just feel like he the only person on my level lyrically.”

“I gotta take this battle serious,” he said of the scheduled Jan. 3 meeting. “It’s one of those battles where I feel like if I don’t bring my A-game with the pen I could die a ‘barable’ death. 50 one of the niggas I always looked at bar-for-bar. Like, literally, think about it, let’s really make a comparison. Who’s better bar-for-bar, 50 Tyson or Young Thug? 50 Tyson got way more bars than Young Thug clearly ... I’m at a point in my career where I could really get any battle I want. I gotta start challenging myself. I really have to start challenging myself and battling a dude like 50 Tyson with his unpredictable style, something like that. He already killed Bow Wow. Y’all see what he did to Bow Wow?”

50 Tyson was on the call himself and said that despite his lack of experience in the ring, he’ll come prepared.

“I’ma be ready for it though,” he said. “You already know. Even though it’s gonna be the first time doing this. You already know I’ll be prepared, be ready for this. Make sure I bring my A-game, show what I got. Show what I’m about. Once I do this, you already know, at the end of the day, people gon’ be like, ‘Damn, 50 murdered Daylyt.’”

“Yo, I’m low-key scared,” Day responded. “I ain’t gon’ front. The fucked up part about this whole situation is what if he really do body me? The crowd going crazy for him and not me? I’ma cry ... It’s unorthodox style, it’s something that I really was like, ‘How do I prepare for something like that?’ That nigga 50 Tyson be doing slow-it-downs and he don’t even be trying to. That shit crazy.”

Repeating a refrain we’ve heard from Daylyt before, the Watts emcee said he’ll take the battle seriously and bring bars to the show.

“Yo I’m taking this shit serious though,” he said. “A lot of people think maybe he booked this so he could probably try something, you know, a shenanigan. Nah, I’m actually gon’ rap because in all honesty, Daylyt vs. 50 Tyson may be my highest viewed battle that I get online. It’s gonna be my highest battle. With that amount of people looking in, I wanna show 'em I can rap. He got more views than all of us.”

50 Tyson released his own short blog about the planned battle last month.

Alluding to other possible battles on the Jan. 3 WWA card, Day described what he’s dubbed the “first ever all-blind battle rap.”

“Manaz Ill vs. Blind Fury,” he said. “That will be the first ever all-blind battle rap. Even the host gon’ be blind. They gon’ flip the coin and they ain’t gon’ know who got heads or tails ‘cause nobody can’t see.”

Daylyt also addressed his ambitions to bring YouTube sensations into the fold with WWA and pointed to the success of the Epic Rap Battles YouTube channel as inspiration.

“What I’m trying to do, a lot of the dudes that was like YouTube sensations and I wouldn’t say the world forgot about them but, you know, they had they run. I’m just about to bring them dudes back and merge ’em with what we got popping right now,” he said. “I think that would create one of the biggest YouTube viewings ever.”
