Fredro Starr vs. Keith Murray Rescheduled

MC WAR announces the date and venue for the postponed battle.

This past Wednesday (Oct. 22), Atlanta-based battle league took to Instagram to announce the rescheduled date for their match-up between industry rappers Fredro Starr and Keith Murray. According to the post, the battle is slated to take place on Nov. 21 at The Atrium, in Stone Mountain, Ga. — the same venue as their “New World Order II” event on Sept. 28.

The two rappers were originally set to battle at NWOII, but the event saw a string of problems and several cancelled battles.

Keith Murray also took to Twitter to reiterate the news of their rescheduled battle.

King Of The Dot co-host Bishop Brigante recently weighed in on why MC WAR’s previous event wasn’t a success in an interview with VladTV.

“It’s having authenticity, it’s carving your own lane. Myself and Organik talked about it [and] we were cool with the MC WAR stuff [and] what they were doing. It felt like they were carving their own lane, sticking it on beats and it being written on beats,” explains Bishop. “A lot of people took the situation like they were just trying to vulture off the culture … I even went at some fans about it because I didn’t feel like they were just trying to slip in and grab veteran rappers and just try to copy the format of everybody else. I felt like they were carving their own lane so why that wasn’t a success I’m not sure. They had a lot of promotion. They went hard; it was on everywhere. It was on The Breakfast Club, they were doing press conferences, it was on ThisIs50. They were on every major platform, they were on VladTV. I thought they were doing great promotion. I’m not sure why that didn’t work out.”
