"Blood, Sweat & Tiers" Interview Round-Up

EXCLUSIVE: All of BattleRap.com's interviews from the recent RBE event, including Charlie Clips, Ill Will, Goodz, Ah Di Boom, and more.

A few days after the Nov. 1 event took place in New York, BattleRap.com has a string of new interviews filmed at Rare Breed Entertainment's "Blood Sweat & Tiers."

RBE's most recent event featured Math Hoffa as a co-host and provided a stage for match-ups between Ill Will and Big Kannon, Goodz and Ah Di Boom, O-Red and Ooops, and more.

Ill Will Says He "Kicked Some Ass" Against Big Kannon

Fresh off his headline battle against Big Kannon, BattleRap.com had Poison Pen interview his fellow Team Homi member Ill Will about the card and his own performance. "I kicked some ass," Ill Will said. "What more could you ask for?"

During the interview, Ill Will also called out some names including Hitman Holla, Math Hoffa, and Charlie Clips (who gets a pass, he says).

Math Hoffa Names O-Red Vs. Ooops As Battle Of The Night

Praising the event and saying it had "a lot of good battles," Math Hoffa spotlighted the O-Red vs. Ooops match-up as one of the night's high points. During his breakdown, Hoffa paid respect to the veteran vs. novice match-up and spoke about Red's strong rebuttals. "There was money on the line, so you could feel that extra pressure," he said of the meeting.

Charlie Clips Talks Possibility Of Battling Pat Stay

Still sounding off about his recent victory against T-Rex, Charlie Clips explained his take on the reactions to the quickly notorious match and spoke at length about the politics of battle rap more generally.

During the interview, Clips discusses the possibility of a battle with Pat Stay and also addresses rumors of an exclusive deal with a sponsor that will yield three battles on the URL platform in 2015, including potential match-ups against Hollow Da Don, Loaded Lux and Murda Mook.

Ah Di Boom: "It Was Just Bars Everywhere"

"Left and right, it was just bars everywhere," Ah di Boom said after his battle against Goodz. The New Jersey emcee also addressed the battle rap "trollers" and explained how he approached his performance in light of comments from fans leading up to the battle.

Goodz Says Charlie Clips Or Murda Mook Is The Current #1

Running through the night's battles, Goodz admitted that his own opponent served up a worthy showing. "Ah Di impressed me," he said. "Boom impressed me."

During the interview, Goodz also boasted that if he wasn't a battle rapper he'd probably be a porn star and addressed a possible video series with Charlie Clips.

Swave Sevah Says His Battle Against Showoff Was A Classic

"I think it was a classic," Swave Sevah said of his battle against Showoff. "I think Showoff came with some shit. I think there's a difference between the way he rap and the way I rap and I think I won but I think a lot of people fuck with his style."

Swave also expanded on what he calls a "new style" of delivery in battle rap and why he's not a fan.

Ooops Says "The Money Isn't The Issue With Me," Addresses Close Call Loss To O-Red

After battling for cash against O-Red, Ooops explained to BattleRap.com that given his love for battling, "the money isn't the issue." Still, Ooops detailed the decision to put up his own money for the match up and addressed his close call loss.

"Kannon and Ill Will showed the fuck up," Ooops also said when asked about the night's best battle.

Showoff Says "My Spot Is Solidified"

"The whole event was crazy," Showoff said before adding that he and Swave Sevah "set the standard for the night." Showoff also admitted, "this right here was the one that made my career be able to make the transition to that next level."

Jimz Addresses Rich Dolarz's Comeback

After his opponent remained (mostly) secret leading up to the event, Jimz spoke about his battle with Rich Dolarz, giving himself the "clear win." "I expected way more from him," Jimz added.

J Murda Talks PG Battle, Career Highlights So Far

Breaking down the origins of his catchphrase, J Murda also gave fans a formal introduction to himself as a battler and rattled off a list of his most recent highlights.
