Murda Mook Doubtful About Drake Battle

“I haven’t really heard nothing from him,” Murda Mook says about a potential battle with Drake. “So I doubt that it will go down.”

Speaking with PSA Radio recently, Harlem battler Murda Mook spoke on a theoretical battle with Young Money artist Drake. During the conversation, Murda Mook reveals that he hasn’t heard from Drake since the duo posed for a photo back in August and subsequently states that he’s doubtful such a battle would ever go down.

“To be honest with you, I haven’t been in communications with the nigga for a while, so I’m not sure what,” Murda Mook explains. “When we last spoke he asked me a question. He asked me who was I battling next? I’m just like, ‘You.’ He’s like, ‘Nah, nah. For real, who you battling next?’ I’m like, ‘Nah, it don’t work like [that]. I don’t really battle that often so I really can’t say who I’m battling next or none of that.’ So when he said that, that kind of led me to believe that he just wanna see a little bit more of what’s going on with me … He definitely wanted to do it because he was still talking about ‘even if we do one-round for the culture’ type shit. That was two months ago. I haven’t really heard nothing from him, so I doubt that it will go down as far as doing the battle.”

“But you never know. He might be one of them niggas who’s just pilling up rhymes and then he might come out of the blue and be like, ‘Yo, let’s do it next week. If we can’t do it next week, I ain’t with it.’ … But that’s why I’m writing rhymes for him, just in case. I got like a round and a half for him. Just in case that is the case.”
