Cassidy Says "Dizaster Is Trash"

Cassidy says he didn't choose to battle Dizaster and that he's in it for the money.

With the much-anticipated “Ether” event less than a month away, Cassidy called into The War Report over the weekend to talk about his upcoming battle against Dizaster. Yelling through much of the interview, Cassidy continually bashed on Dizaster while making clear that he’s only taking the match because of the money he’s set to earn.

“First of all, I didn’t pick Dizaster,” he said. “The reason why I didn’t wanna battle over the years is because ... it wasn’t worth my while for one. And for two, for so many years I was doing this shit so crazy that I felt as though anybody I battled I would be the automatic victor, like everybody would pick me to win. If everybody know I’ma win and I battle a nigga and win, what am I getting out of that? So that was one of the reasons. Another reason was because people wasn’t making it worth my while. I’m travelling the world, I’m doing shows, I’m doing music. I’m focused on this industry shit and a lot of other business moves I’m putting together. So the battle would take a lot of time and dedication that I’m willing to give if it’s not for the chicken. So, that’s another reason why I wasn’t doing it. But, at the end of the day, Lush One put together a situation with Alki David, the billionaire. So that’s how niggas was able to get some chicken, big chicken. More chicken than what these battle leagues is used to having.”

Again addressing his opponent, Cass repeated that Dizaster wasn’t his choice.

“A lot of niggas running around talking about, ‘Why Cass battle Dizaster?’ or, ‘Why he pick him?’” he said. “I ain’t pick Dizaster. Lush One and them niggas picked Dizaster. The only reason why I accepted it is because them niggas had that chicken ... Most of the times in these big events they might get ten grand or something. I’m not coming out for that!”

Distancing himself from industry rappers who recently battled like Canibus — who lost specifically to Dizaster — and Joe Budden, Cass claimed they're in different categories than him.

“No disrespect to Canibus or Joe Buddens, they’re both cool dudes,” he said. “They got a lot of fans that think they talk that shit, a lot of people respect what they do. But any nigga in their right mind’ll never put Canibus or Joe Buddens in the same category as me. Maybe Canibus at one time, but I came way after that and transformed the game. I changed the game completely and came a long time after Canibus. Joe Buddens and all these niggas, don’t put me in the same category with them because I’m a whole other animal. I’m a different type of nigga than any of the niggas y’all naming. So because they didn’t show up, that means that every nigga that come back now gon’ show up. That’s not the truth because there’s leaders like Mook that took a long break.

“This shit was too small for me,” he added. “Them battle arenas was too small. Y’all ain’t big enough for a nigga like me. So they just started getting big enough to even contain a nigga like me. That’s why I’m back now. Not that I can’t do it or I was scared or it changed. I don’t give a fuck about all that. It just wasn’t big enough. Now a nigga got it big enough so now I’m back and y’all gon’ see. December 6. Whether you hate it or love it, tune in. You’re gonna get to witness it firsthand.”

After ducking questions about his opponent and whether he’s watched his battles, Cass dissed Diz’s skills outright.

“I ain’t gon’ hold no punches,” he started. “That nigga Dizaster is trash. I ain’t gon’ lie to you. Nigga screams and yells, he’s trash though. I ain’t ever heard one bar that I could remember or that I like. So the nigga trash. Don’t bring up niggas like that in the same sentence with me. I’m about to prove that to y’all. Just watch. December 6.”
