Uno Lavoz Explains “Flatline 3” No-Show Against Rone

“I didn’t show up because there was 12 feet of snow, 14 people dead and all types of crazy shit between me and Canada,” Uno Lavoz says.

Following his no-show against Rone at King Of The Dot’s “Flatline 3” event in Toronto, Canada this past Saturday (Nov. 22), Uno Lavoz uploaded a video blog to YouTube to address the situation and explain his side of the story.

Uno Lavoz cited severe weather conditions in Buffalo, N.Y. as the reason why he didn’t make the trip to Canada for the KOTD event.

“I actually have a real life and a real job, right? And I have real responsibilities to take care of, right? So, from Monday to Friday, I work. I have a real job,” Uno Lavoz explains. “The milkman shit, whatever you wanna believe … I don’t watch the news in Buffalo. I don’t live in Buffalo. That’s six hours north from me. [I’m] nowhere near there. I get a phone call from Young Zim a couple of days before telling me about the storm. So I started researching it, looking it up and I was like, ‘Damn, this shit’s crazy.’ Friday comes, we all planned on leaving Friday night. Zim calls AAA up and they said within three hours there was over 72 car accidents … They said everything was on lockdown, everything was shut down [and that] you cannot get in.”

“We don’t live near there so we didn’t go ‘cause we would have had no place to stay [and] we would have been stuck," Uno Lavoz continues. "We didn’t know what was what. Morning time comes — it’s about six o’clock in the morning. We call again [and] it’s the same shit. Everything is shut down. We look on the news: 14 people died, black ice, car accidents [and] all types of crazy shit. Now when I see that [you] can call it what you want, call me being scared, I don’t give a fuck, I’m not going. Simple as that. I’m not risking my life for nobody.”

As a way of compensating KOTD, Uno Lavoz says he’s willing to fly Rone out to the league’s next event and battle him there, all paid for out of his own pocket.

For those wondering what Uno Lavoz is referring to in the title of his video, it’s in response to Pat Stay’s comments in a clip uploaded to YouTube on Nov. 22. Pat calls out Lavoz for missing the battle, calling it "extremely disrespectful."

What do you think? Is Lavoz's excuse valid? Let us know in the comment section below.
