Music Of The Week: Charlie Clips, Shotgun Suge, Pat Stay

New music from the likes of B Magic, DNA, Cortez, and MyVerse is also included.

Fresh off the Thanksgiving holiday, BattleRap.com is back with yet another edition of our Music of the Week feature.

Collecting music from some of the scene's biggest names, we take another break from the battle coverage to offer up some tracks from the artists that make it all happen in the first place.

As we approach the end of the year, watch out for a Music of the Year roundup where we'll consolidate all of the best music from the battle rap world in 2014 in one place.

Shotgun Suge feat. Jai - "She Ain't Low"

Exactly a month after the release of his battle against Charron, Shotgun Suge released a song for the ladies (kind of) with Jai. Suge also took to Twitter recently to announce a new project (and look).

B Magic - "Like This"

Rapping on a snowy set for the visuals of his latest single, B Magic's Morless directed video hit the web last week.

MyVerse - "Black Swan"

MyVerse has a project prepped for the new year and dropped a new video from the release earlier this week. "Black Swan" flips the concept of the Natalie Portman-starring film into her own video and fittingly includes plenty of ballet as well.

Charlie Clips - "The G.O.A.T."

Even though he had a rough time against Charron in Toronto last week, Charlie Clips has arguably had one of the busiest and strongest years in battle rap throughout 2014 and his name has quickly shot up the ranks of plenty of Top 5 lists as a result. Addressing his rising stock on his next single "The G.O.A.T.," Clips peels backs some layers and airs out what his life and career has really been like recently.

Clips has a new mixtape, The Lenox Ave Beast 2, dropping in January 2015.

Jimz - VladTV's In The Booth

Never one to shy away from a public call out, Jimz visited with VladTV recently and aired out his grievances with the reigning vets in battle rap, dropping plenty of names in the process.

Dotz - Westwood Crib Session Freestyle

English emcee Dotz, familiar to anyone who's kept up with Don't Flop over the years, stopped by legendary U.K. radio host Tim Westwood's show to drop a lengthy performance.

Pat Stay - "Let It Go"

Rapping over a smooth instrumental, Pat Stay's latest comes just under a week after his faceoff with Daylyt in Toronto.

Head I.C.E feat. Charlie Clips, Cortez, DNA - "I Am Battle Rap"

Joining forces for a battle rap anthem, Harlem veteran Head I.C.E enlisted Charlie Clips, Cortez, and DNA for a new single called "I Am Battle Rap." Running through their individual track records, the song will live on I.C.E's upcoming release Wolf Love and is also set to feature even more battlers than the original.
