Young B The Future Shot Dead

The West Coast emcee was on the come-up in the battle scene.

Rising West Coast battle emcee Young B The Future was shot dead today (Dec. 8), his friend and media manager Hollywood Stilt confirmed to BattleRap.com.

According to Hollywood Stilt, Young B was shot while exiting his vehicle in Los Angeles by an unknown assailant or assailants. He was brought to the hospital in an ambulance where he was pronounced dead.

"We lost a solid voice of West Coast battle rap today," said Hollywood Stilt over the phone.

Young B made his mark in 2014, recently winning both AHAT's Rookie and Battler of the Year awards and putting on a standout performance against the heavily favored B Magic at Snoop Dogg's "Gladiator School" event in September.
