Shuffle-T Announced For KOTD's "Blackout 5"

The U.K. star is set to make his Toronto debut.

Another day, another announcement for King Of The Dot's upcoming Toronto event. This time it's Shuffle-T from London, England.

The British rapper first appeared in 2012 and then shot to stardom with 2013's "Bad Bars" concept battle against his doubles partner Marlo. The satirical clash laid bare some of the laughably terrible tropes many emcees still overuse today.

In the time since the above battle, the pair became some of (U.K. league) Don't Flop's brightest stars. At DF's recent "Sixth Birthday Weekend" event, they successfully defended their 2-on-2 titles and earned BattleRap.com's "Performance of the Night" on Day 1. Watch that battle here.

Coming from a sketch comedy background, Shuffle-T pairs heavily rehearsed performative elements with keen writing. He's funny enough to make the crowd laugh with him but mean enough to destroy opponents by having the crowd laugh at them. His thorough drubbing of Big Brother cast member Anton Murphy is considered one of Don't Flop's most brutal bodybags.

This will be Shuffle's Toronto debut, though he has already battled for KOTD at "Battle of L.A. 5" where he and Marlo took on West Coast veterans Dirtbag Dan and Caustic.

Since BO5 isn't revealing match-ups until the day of the event, there's no way to know if we're getting a solo performance or another 2-on-2 (presuming Marlo eventually gets announced for the card).
