Dumbfoundead To Return At "Blackout 5"

The Los Angeles rapper is coming back for his first battle since 2009.

Ok, now it’s getting ridiculous. In KOTD’s Christmas Day trailer for “Blackout 5," Grind Time-era comedy legend Dumbfoundead has been announced for the February card, joining an ever-growing roster that includes Hitman Holla, Osa, Kid Twist, T-Rex, Madchild and more.

Dumbfoundead hasn't battled since 2009, busy instead with a successful music career...

And also apparently throwing out the first pitch at a Dodgers game.

Sharpening his freestyle skills in Los Angeles' storied Project Blowed scene, Dumb battled mostly in Jumpoff before becoming a star in Grind Time.

He was one of the leaders of the humor-based West Coast style and could make the crowd laugh as easily as he could cut down his opponents with insults. His battles against The Saurus, PH and F.L.O. are all masterclasses of crowd control, personality and charisma while his battle with Tantrum has been referred to by Fresh Coast alum as the one that launched Grind Time.

His only appearance for KOTD was against Kid Twist in 2009. The match-up was a turning point for Canadian battle rap as it marked the first time a top American emcee battled in KOTD. The end result was a highly entertaining and accessible clash with Twist picking up the judges' decision.
