Don’t Flop Announce “6.5 Birthday” Event

The British league also announce their upcoming expansion into Detroit.

U.K.-based battle league Don’t Flop recently revealed the full card for their “6.5 Birthday” event in Leeds, England.

The event is scheduled to go down on Jan. 31-Feb. 1 and acts as a continuation from the league’s "Sixth Birthday Weekend" that took place last November. That event was hit with a string of last-minute cancellations including the title match between Tony D and Unanymous which is now planned for Day 1 on the upcoming card. The card itself features all British emcees with the exception of Canada's Tricky P, finally going up against Marlo in a match-up that has been in the making for almost a couple of years.

Don't Flop also announced the continuation of their American expansion, with league owner Eurgh tweeting that another installment in the DFUSA series will be held in Detroit, Mich. in association with Quest MCODY (the veteran emcee behind Detroit's recent "Power" event).

The league's Atlanta event last November produced some high-quality battles (Eurgh vs. John John Da Don, QP vs. Ogmios and Ness Lee vs. Heartless are all definitely worth your time) and another one is in the works.

In other Don’t Flop-related news, Shotty Horroh announced via Twitter yesterday (Jan. 12) that he has signed a contract with the league to battle four times in 2015. No word on when or where, but Shotty said that he'll still be able to battle in other leagues as well.
