New York-based battle league SMACK/URL dropped the card for its upcoming "Rookies vs. Vets" event yesterday (Feb. 25), which pits the league's current crop of up-and-comers against some of the more established veterans of the scene.
We’ve sifted through the conversation on Twitter to compile some of the reactions to the battles scheduled to go down. Despite a few unsatisfied customers, the battle rap community has responded well to the card from the early signs of those commenting online.

The trailer also revealed that Aye Verb has changed his stage name to "Verb Von Doom," presumably a reference to Fantastic 4 villain Dr. Victor von Doom. Although his motive for doing so is still unclear, here’s what Twitter had to say about the switch.

The event goes down on Saturday, March 28 at the Gramercy Theatre at 127 E 23rd Street in New York. Doors are scheduled to open at 1:00 p.m. and tickets are available here.
