RemyD Announces Battle Against Daylyt

The St. Louis emcee is also scheduled to battle Reverse Live in March.

St. Louis emcee RemyD is set to make his return to battle rap, he told BattleRap.com in an interview at Teddy Grizzle/KOTD's "Battle Of The Bay 7" on Jan. 23.

Remy has been out of the scene for almost a year after some disappointing performances against Lotta Zay and Ness Lee and a last-minute cancellation against Osa at KOTD's "Blackout 4" after an apparent car accident. "I'm getting back on my feet and paying off debts and shit," he explained. "I came out [to California] and wilded out ... I'm good out here as long as I stay to myself."

Remy says he and Daylyt have something in the works for May. Before that, he's scheduled to return against Reverse Live in March, an emcee who told BattleRap.com after his recent loss at Day 1 of BOTB7 that he plans to go way harder against his next opponent.

Even with the dip in consistency, Remy's resume is still impressive. He put up two of KOTD's best battles in 2013 against Pass and QP and got his start in St. Louis around 2008 against names like Hitman Holla and Yung Ill. One of the most intricate writers in the scene, he could see his stock soar if he and Daylyt put on a classic. Stay tuned for more details on when and where this battle is going down.
