Bishop Brigante Details His "Blackout 5" Return

Bishop Brigante also announces a new KOTD-branded battle rap radio show.

Bishop Brigante made both his return to battle rap and his KOTD debut against Arsonal at "Blackout 5" earlier this month. Recapping his performance in a post-battle interview with BattleRap.com, Brigante addressed where he stands as a battler — "I'm back full circle" he said — and who he might consider as a potential next opponent.

Bishop Brigante Recaps Arsonal Battle

Opening up about the weeks leading up to the match, the KOTD staff member detailed his current status now that his big debut is behind him.

"I was very confident, I was in combat mode leading up to it," Brigante said. "I was letting them know, 'I'm not joking. I'm not playing.' Now that the fight is over, I have a lot of respect for Arsonal for stepping into the ring with me to let me debut. He's an incredible opponent."

As for his commitment to battle rap as a battler himself, Brigante hinted that his BO5 appearance was just the beginning.

"This isn't a hobby-type thing for me," he said. "When I started my career it was real life for me. And now that I'm back full circle and I'm back in the warrior mode, I'm not gonna just battle any slouch."

Still, when asked if he'll be a contender at KOTD's next event, Brigante admitted that as of now such plans aren't in place.

"I won't say no," he said. "It's not in the cards right now ... "I was just shaking off my rust," he added. "I'm in such a zone now. Like I said, I've got my eye on people that talk slick."
