URL's media arm The War Report has been releasing interview clips on its YouTube channel over the last few weeks as part of its "The Message & The Rebuttal" series. The 12-part collection kicked off by shining a spotlight on battle rap rookies like Prep, Xcel, and T-Top and concluded with corresponding responses from more veteran spitters like DNA, Big T, and Cortez. The point? To start the conversation about who deserves a seat at the top-tier table and to showcase a slew of newcomers who are hungry for a spot.
The theme is also in line with URL's March 28 "Rookies vs. Vets" event in New York, the card for which should be dropping soon.
