While the battle was originally supposed to go down as part of the "Summer Madness 4" warm-up card last September, Real Deal and Sno are now set to face off at URL's "Rookies vs. Vets" later this month.
Since it wasn't originally slated for the event, the match-up doesn't exactly epitomize the theme perfectly like the rest of the battles, but still fits into the format well enough.
Sno, who will make the trip from Pontiac, Michigan, is the relative newcomer and has been around since early 2011 while Real Deal has been grinding since 2007. Despite that, Sno actually has more battles on the URL channel (7 to 4), though Real Deal definitely has more experience overall with more than 60 performances. Sno is the most seasoned rookie on the card though, with 23 battles.
Deal also has a long-in-the-making music career and, for better or for worse, faced off against Daylyt when the Watts rapper tried to pull his infamous "doo doo in the desert" stunt last year.
As a part of The War Report's promotional series leading up to the event, Real Deal offered the rookies some advice and singled out Sno along with a few other emcees for using the same tired "defeat / the feet" wordplay over and over again.
Smack White reiterated the announcement himself on Instagram recently and stuck up for Real Deal's veteran status at the same time. Check out Smack's message and some fan predictions below:
