Brizz Rawsteen & Aye Verb Prep For URL Battle

The two emcees will settle things at URL's "Rookies vs. Vets" event on March 28.

Brizz Rawsteen and Aye Verb's "Rookies vs. Vets" battle is coming. The battle is second from the top on the card and is no doubt one of the most anticipated among fans.

While Verb is widely considered one of URL's most seasoned battlers, Brizz Rawsteen arrives as a relative newcomer from Raleigh, North Carolina and garnered attention in BET's "Ultimate Freestyle Friday" tournament and through battles against Young X and Showoff.

Check out what both rappers have been saying about the battle below.

Brizz Rawsteen Says He'll Handle Aye Verb's Ego

Back in December, Brizz slyly called out Aye Verb as a possible opponent before URL announced the card and match-up. In a newly released video Brizz talks specifically about what he expects from the battle and Verb.

"I haven't been on that stage," he said, admitting his lack of experience in front of a big crowd. "I say that to say he just know things about being on that stage that I don't. That's it though. I'll overcome that first round."

"Verb's weakness is that [he] got a ego this big," he later said. "I'ma put it on the floor. That's all. I know how to handle niggas like that. Subconscious and all that. I'ma talk to him. I can't wait. We're gonna have a wonderful conversation."

Aye Verb: "I'm The Most 'Stop-The-Room Rapper' In URL"

A couple of weeks ago Aye Verb called into The War Report and showed plenty of respect to Brizz, but wouldn't budge in calling the battle a mismatch in his own favor.

"I'm a fan of Brizz Rawsteen," he said. "I think Brizz is really, really good. Here's the thing y'all gotta understand. I'm a nigga that's with the shit. 'With the shit' and 'good' is not the same. Let me say something to y'all. This is a big room for them little niggas, 700, 800 people. That's a big room for them. That's a quiet room for us. We're not concerned about no shit like that. Tell me one thing Brizz does better than me for me to be scared of?"

Continuing his boast, Verb credited himself with an ability to "stop the room" before again giving it up to Brizz on a more technical basis.

"I am the most 'stop-the-room rapper' in URL," he said. "The most. I can't go on stage without them saying, 'Say that again Verb,' so they can say it back with me ... Does that happen to your Brizz Rawsteen? I think he is cold. I watched that nigga and what I loved about Brizz the most, that nigga rhyme pattern is through the roof. His rhyme pattern? Incredible. The words he puts together? Incredible. But here's where the mismatch [comes]. I do that same goddamn shit but my shit bangs on the end."
