BattleRap.com's Chris Mitchell asked Charlie Clips about his feelings on the "Rookies vs Vets" event in New York last weekend, and gathered his thoughts on his own performance at the top of the bill.
"My battle with T-Top is dope," Clips says. "Depending on how people like our third rounds it could slip into one of those sneaky classics like that ... You always wanna destroy your opponent but I really was gunning for a classic."
He also spoke on the impact the event would have on the future of URL.
"I'm about uplifting the culture. When the vets/legends leave the game, maybe next year ... who is going to keep this game alive, man? And some people was made tonight. Whether they lost, or whatever, nobody got smoked to my knowledge ... Now when these dudes hit the big stage with the big lights they'll be used to it. Now you gonna have 'Rookies vs. Vets 2' ... and they gonna be almost the vets. They not gon' be the rookies. You're gonna have to do Rookies vs. Sophomores."
They certainly made themselves known on Twitter following the match-up.
