Snoop Dogg Teams Up With AHAT

The Las Vegas-based league will hold a tournament co-organized by Snoop.

Days after the release of his "Gladiator School" footage, Snoop Dogg is jumping back into the battle rap game, this time by partnering up with Las Vegas-based battle league AHAT. Snoop announced the partnership in a series of videos.

The partnership will take the form of an invite-only, eight-man tournament that takes place on Saturday, April 4 in Los Angeles for a spot in the next "Gladiator School" green-screen battle. Snoop launched the green-screen concept at his last event with an animation-laden battle pitting Daylyt against Tsu Surf.

The emcees who got the call to participate in the event (dubbed "Take Flight On Sight") are: Danny Myers, Dre Vishiss, Shi Dog, Cali Smoov, Clutch, DJ Penn, 65 Hunnit and Billy Boondocks.

BattleRap.com reached out to OD to find out how the venture came together.

"Snoop and I have been in talks for awhile about how we will collaborate in the future," he said via Facebook message. "Then this past Thursday he called me and said 'I want to do a show.' That night I left Vegas for Cali and met with Snoop the next day and worked everything out. And here we are."

The event goes down in Los Angeles on Saturday, April 4 and can only be attended by those with invitations.
