Hitman Holla Speaks On "Resurrection" & Shotgun Suge

Hitman says he's interested in partnering with another St. Louis emcee for a 2-on-2.

St. Louis battler Hitman Holla was in attendance as a spectator at Don't Flop's "Resurrection" event in Atlanta earlier this month and spoke to BattleRap.com about his support for the U.K. league, John John Da Don and the idea of doubles battles.

When asked by Jon Rines for his opinion, Hitman shared his thoughts on what was the best battle of the night.

“Definitely Math and Chilla … They definitely held the main event down like they was supposed to,” said Hitman. He also highlighted the battle between Real Deal and Syd Vicious and the 2-on-2 that saw DNA/K-Shine take on John John Da Don/Syahboy.

“That 2-on-2 was VERY entertaining. It was entertaining to the point where I called [Aye] Verb and said, 'We need to set up a 2-on-2,’” said Hitman.

Hitman also addressed the hype surrounding a potential match-up with battler Shotgun Suge. He denies Suge’s allegations of “ducking” the battle, and was confident that he'd win if the battle does happen. Floating the idea of clashing at URL’s "Summer Madness 5" card, he says that it would raise Suge’s battle rap profile considerably.

"He aint never been on nothing. If he battle me, it's gon' be on one of those big cards,” said Hitman.

Despite having not been in the building for the battle, Hitman also commented on the buzz about Suge's recent battle with Th3 Saga at URL’s “Rookies vs. Vets," saying “[Suge] always do his thing, but he always fucking lose."

Hitman said that URL wasn't initially interested in booking the match with Suge, but may change their minds because of the growing rivalry between the two emcees after frequent disses in battles, interviews and on Twitter.

BattleRap.com has since spoken with a source with knowledge of the situation, who said that nothing has been confirmed.
